Have you ever wanted to become a singer or discover your unique singing voice? If you answered yes, this class is for you. Blue Note is the beginner’s class for Vocal Performance. This Voice Class is not to criticize how you sound or to make you sound differently, but to teach you technique to help your sound become unique to you. Through this class one will be able to learn how to keep their instrument (your voice) healthy while building and learning more about
your voice through technique. This class is a prerequisite to our next level class. If one has singing experience and have learned technique, an audition will be recommended prior to moving forward to our intermediate class. Please make note that these classes are one on one virtual/in-person coaching.

Voice UP

That’s right we have created a vocal class for ALL People! EVERYONE is invited! This class is catered for those who do A LOT of speaking throughout the day! This class is mandatory for all actors; however, we welcome all Teachers, Public Speakers, Pastors, Community Leaders, etc. This class is for anyone who uses their voices to talk. Through this class one will learn the correct technique to keep their voices healthy while speaking. Your voice is an instrument, and one must take care of it to experience longevity. Through these techniques one will be able to identify the difference between healthy and non-healthy habits that can be detrimental to the voice. Please note that you DO NOT have to sing to attend this class. This class is not for singing, its simply for TALKING. I look forward to TALKING with you soon!

Movement Class

Creative Movement is a joyful way for any one to explore movement through music and dance. You will work on developing physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination, and creativity. Using creative movement, students can simultaneously develop motor skills, rhythmic awareness, coordination, and balance in a safe environment. Write Now: Essentials for the Start-up Writer

Curious about writing but not sure how to begin? Looking for ways to get over writer’s block? Looking for a safe, supportive space to explore writing as self-expression? Write Now is your class! Before you tackle longer written works like a novel, play or screenplay, you need the basics covered in Write Now. This class will help you:

• ·  Get comfortable with the writer’s mindset and begin to see yourself as a writer.

• ·  Establish “ground rules” that will free up your writing and keep writer’s block at bay.

• ·  Begin to trust your personal writing process as you respond to external prompts and engage intimed “pen-to-paper-no-self-editing” writing in a structured, safe space.

· Teach you a process and language for providing constructive, helpful, non-judgmental feedback to fellow writers – and receive supportive input about your own work.
· Help you establish a writing routine that will lead to success as you define it.

This is an introductory level writing course. No previous writing experience required. In-class writing, optional reading of your own writing, group discussion with classmates, and providing feedback will be part of every session, whether in Zoom or in-person.

Writing for Performance: Monologues, Scenes and Short Scripts

Ready to create your own content? Want to explore short-form scripts for stage, screen, and online performance? For intermediate-level writers, this class will cover:

• ·  Basic narrative structure for short scripts.

• ·  Standard industry scriptwriting terminology and script set-up/formatting.

• ·  Differences between writing for stage and writing for the screen/film, as well as the hybrid genre of Zoom performance.

· Generating story ideas; creating memorable, vivid characters and the power of specificity in scriptwriting.

Writing in class and outside class (homework) is required. At the end of the class, students will have written at least one monologue and several short scenes or one substantive short script (10 pages or less). This is an intermediate level writing class. Prerequisite: BFC’s Write Now: Essentials for the Start-up Writer or equivalent course. Writing sample required for admission. (All ages) Price: $150

Act 1

This class focuses on the needs, questions and concerns of parents of young actors, and young adult actors. My child (or I) am now getting paid, now what? How do I budget? What are good options for this income? How do I protect it? What are methods to reduce taxes? These questions and more will be addressed to help you create a financial plan. We'll cover general financial and investing knowledge and use class-specific questions to dive into other topics as time allows. A questionnaire is posted to participants prior to the first session in order to highlight specific needs and focal points for each class. A virtual group class designed to provide information and ideas, centered around good money management practices, and the

understanding that no two situations are the same.

Designed for folks who are earning income acting as a second job, perhaps as a second career, and want some insight into tips and strategies to make the most of what they make, and ways to allow them to pursue that next dream. Building on some basic money management tools (budgeting, goals) and developing investment knowledge to target retirement planning, tax strategies, insurance and business planning concepts. A questionnaire is posted to participants prior to the first session in order to highlight specific needs and focal points for each class. We’ll discuss scenarios and integrate class participant needs to provide some real-world examples of how to manage cash flow for today, prepare for the future, and balance the two.

Life Coaching for Artist

Life Coaching for Artist is a one-on-one life coaching session to assist artist towards their goals in life. Through one-on-one coaching we will use the arts to help one to RESET and SET their Life’s Goals. One will be able to speak in confidentiality about their career path, personal concerns, personal life experiences, health and wellness, etc. This coaching session will be utilized to help push you towards your success!
